Interested - anyone on here or Twitter still think we should get rid/shouldn’t have re-signed him?
A good half dozen the next game he doesn’t score.

I nailed my colours to the mast after Marriott's injury. Re-signing him was a mistake, he would not take this golden opportunity in front of him and would ultimately prove he was not good enough.

Happy to be proven wrong so far. He's looking transformed. Proper CF goals instead of 1 or 2 wonder moments a season.

We're putting more better crosses in, and lumping less long at his head.

Nah, it’s clearly a change in his attitude. My issue was rarely about him not scoring, and everything to do with him not trying. Was such a lethargic player to watch. He’s been better, but I’d like to see him string good performances together.

I think that’s a perception. Never thought him lazy. In fact I’d say that’s miles off

Anyway would bring him off and get Keane on now.

He's never been lazy. His fitness has not been the best and he's conserved it at times, combined with a laconic style.

He's growing in experience and getting better service and fitness

I think James Beattie is having an effect too. He's learning how to use his sizeable frame better, and his second today was proper fox in the box anticipation. These were skills we simply weren't seeing.

This frustrates me with Leam - 75m gone, 3-0 up against a team without a shot on goal. Use the squad, give a few players a rest…

Absolutely Beattie will help

Worth remembering Kelvin sent most of the last couple of season at LW not ST... takes a while to adapt and learn the position in senior football

It's only just about his best season for us - founded on 6 goals in 6 games post-Marriott injury (reckon 3 in 30+ previously). But he's still young (only 22).

GD being improved, hope we don’t let something in to damage that…

Thanks Lino!
