But that's just it, former fan favourite, struggling since leaving and probably needing to drop a level, at exactly the time we need someone.Hound wrote:There’s a chance isn’t there? I reckon he’d come
Obviously big question if Cardiff would let him go and if the EFL would allow it
He’s not the player he was - but I’m sure he could do a job up top or RW for us still.
Meite has always considered himself a striker and pestered Bowen to play him up top.Royal_jimmy wrote:Meite isn't a striker and looks low on confidence. Surely we could get a better loanee although I do like the guy
More to the point he has a physical presence which, even if he has lost a bit of pace, will worry defenders and make their 90 minutes awkward & uncomfortable. This would be different to anything else up top for Reading.Crowbar6753 wrote:Meite has been one of the most likeable Reading players over the last decade. Personally think he he is best suited as an inside forward but saying that he could do a job up top and should cause problems to most Div 1 defenses.
The big thing for me is his presence in the dressing room!! The guy is well liked and larger than life much like Mbengue. Between the pair of them they should beable to keep dressing room morale high. Wareham played well today and i think he may well take his chance so even if we give Wareham 60 mins and then bring on Meite for the last half hour!!
We need two mores wins to be safe and with the cash from Smith and possibly Bindon we should be able to fend off Administration.
Yaks is very likeable and could do a job in League One. My only concern is he’s likely to get injured and be unavailable for most of his loan period.Snowflake Royal wrote:Yeah he could certainly tussle with CBs.
