He was brought in at the start of the summer window under the previous Plymouth manager and has played a couple of games this season so is match fit but Plymouth have recently bought a couple of strikers (one v expensive in Tolaj) who now appear to be ahead of Paterson.

But most telling was that the Sky Sports ticker said Paterson scored for Reading today. A Freudian slip?

Plymouth spent £1.2m on Laurent Tolaj (ex Sion, Aldersh*t, Brighton) from Port Vale on Friday with Cleverly saying the right no. 9 was now in the building thus Paterson looks to be being bundled out the door double quick after no games for Plymouth.

Is pretty good at scoring goals against us.

We played four games against Huddersfield in 2015/16 and he scored in every game!

One of those irritating little players to play against.

Had a brief spell on loan at Charlotte FC in MLS a season or so ago but didn't make much impact as wasn't fully match fit at the time.

Exactly although he would like quite tall amongst our attacking players.

Always liked him and a good player in his time at Championship level but our needs are probably more pressing in other areas and he is now knocking on a bit but if we are serious about trying to sign Matt Ritchie.......................
