Hearts host Rangers on Monday knowing a home win will essentially end Rangers title hopes leaving Rangers only realistic target being to stop Celtic catching Hearts when they meet in the Old Firm.
Have just noticed that Celtic are "lucky" and have both Rangers and Hearts at home - which I know is just a quirk as they played twice away to both in the pre-split games but could be key by the end.
But the rules state that they will do all they can to ensure sides play twice home/away - Celtic have only hosted Hearts & Rangers once, so under the rules they get to host them again. Would be a bigger issue, if say Hearts won the league having hosted Celtic 3 times to their once.Double C wrote: ↑27 Apr 2026 09:22complete fix tbhStranded wrote: ↑27 Apr 2026 07:31 After the 1st round of games post split, Rangers defeat to Motherwell means Hearts now lead Celtic by 3 point with a better GD.

That's Rangers out of it.windermereROYAL wrote: ↑04 May 2026 19:29 Hearts really could do it after beating rangers, 3 points ahead, 3 to play. GD 5 better than Celtic, you would think 2 wins away to Motherwell and Home to Falkirk will do it.
Away to Celtic on the last day.
Celtic have only been kept in it by the really really lucky last minute goals they scored a few timesClyde1998 wrote: ↑04 May 2026 19:33That's Rangers out of it.windermereROYAL wrote: ↑04 May 2026 19:29 Hearts really could do it after beating rangers, 3 points ahead, 3 to play. Hearts' run-in: Motherwell (A); Falkirk (H); Celtic (A)
Celtic's run-in: Rangers (H); Motherwell (A); Hearts (H)
It really is there for them now.

I don’t know, I think Rangers fans wouldn’t mind if Hearts won it.leon wrote: ↑04 May 2026 20:14

I don't think they would now. Obviously Rangers fans would want Rangers to win the league if that was still possible.Sutekh wrote: ↑04 May 2026 20:24I don’t know, I think Rangers fans wouldn’t mind if Hearts won it.leon wrote: ↑04 May 2026 20:14

I think Hibs would probably prefer it not be Hearts as the ones to do it.windermereROYAL wrote: ↑04 May 2026 20:04 Everyone wants a team outside of Glasgow to win it with the exception of the old firm.

Wow. Is that a recent picture? He's got better looking.
To be fair, that's didn't take any great insight. From Despair To Where? wrote: ↑20 Oct 2024 14:45 That's the sort of performance that could get Derek McInnes the job at Ibrox. Kilmarnock have had a poor start to the season, mainly because of their European excursions, which started in July but they're now 5 unbeaten having lost their first 3 fixtures (two of which were Celtic and Aberdeen).
They are usually hard to beat, lacking only a decent goalscorer, and play good football.
