Three More Goals - This Time For Reading

Anton Ferdinand made his Reading debut last night, completing the first 45 mintues, as Reading cruised to a comfortable and convincing 3-0 victory over Rotherham. Ferdinand was part of a Reading defence that actually looked in control until he was forced to miss the second half due to injury. Hopefully his injury is nothing serious, and purely due to a lack of action, as he gives Adkins much needed choice for the back four. Hector was his replacement after the break making his return from suspension and the Reading defence held tight to secure a rare clean sheet.

In front of a low crowd of just 13,775 Reading put in their best performance of some time to secure three vital points to haul themselves back up to 13th place in the Championship. Three goals seems to be a common factor in Reading games this season but thankfully it was Reading that hit the three this time as they were decent up front as well as at the back. Mackie put Reading ahead in the first half before two more well taken goals from Cox wrapped up the 3-0 win.

Mackie had a good game throughout and created other chances but his goal was a well taken goal that he created himself. Mackie then set up Cox for the second and Norwood was the provider for the third that Cox again finished well.
