Huddersfield or Reading will face League One Walsall in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Walsall will have to travel to the winners of Reading's replay after the Royals drew 2-2 at Huddersfield on Saturday. The fourth round game will most likely take place on Saturday 30 January. Reading looked to have stolen a late win at Huddersfield but a suspect stoppage time penalty from the Terriers forced a replay that will take place at the Madejski Stadium on Tuesday 19 January.

After that away draw, Reading have the possibility of two home games against teams below them in the football pyramid. Huddersfield may only be a few places behind the Royals but the home advantage should see Reading start as favourites. If we do manage to progress to the next round then the Walsall game will be seen as a decent chance for Reading to put together another FA Cup run - however Walsall are a team in top form.

Walsall will certainly provide a tough test for Reading. While Reading have been struggling to put results together in the Championship, The Saddlers sit in third place in League One and are just two points outside the automatic promotion places with two games in hand. They will certainly fancy their chances of claiming another Championship scalp after already putting out Brentford in round three on Saturday. Walsall scored in the first half in what was to be the only goal of the game at Griffin Park. A trip to Reading will be seen as an ideal opportunity to repeat their third round result.

In a repeat of last years third round game, Reading looked to be heading through to the fourth round at Huddersfield Town's expense once more on Saturday. Huddersfield took the lead on 57 minutes before Vydra scored the equaliser, with the help of a deflection, with 19 minutes left to play. The game looked to be heading towards a draw until Hal Robson-Kanu appeared to have won the game for Reading - only for Huddersfield to win a penalty despite the challenge appearing to be outside the area. The spot kick was put in to make it 2-2 and set the game up for next Tuesday's replay.

Reading are expecting a low crowd for the third round replay but have priced tickets at just 10 pounds for adults to try and get a crowd in. The game kicks-off at the usual 8pm on Tuesday 19 January. The East and West stands will be open for Reading fans and will be unreserved seating for the night. Children are just a pound and other concessions are five pounds.

Post-Match Fans' Opinion

Huddersfield were decent. Kept the ball well, pacy and good neat quick passing. Looked very threatening throughout.

Odd tactics from Bri. 4 3 3 to start. Danny Williams out wide on the right, Norwood seemed to be just in from of back four. As a result neither was greatly involved. McCleary seemed to have a roaming role. Didn't look right and didn't work.

Half time change in formation saw HRK moved out wide left and Williams back to the centre. Norwood still seemed to be just in front of defence, so it was more like 4 1 4 1. Anyway whatever it was it looked slightly better but it wasn't until Piazon came that we started to hold onto the ball and create some opportunities. His best game (or part game) for Reading? Great finish from Vydra - let's hope there's more on the way.

Penalty decisions were key. I was convinced that Al Habsi would be sent off and a pen given but we should defo have had one when Vydra was clattered right in front of us.

So maybe a fair result but up till Piazon came on we looked really poor.

Quotes from the Press

The visitors, who had beaten Town at this very stage and venue last season, were thankful to Watford loanee Matej Vydra for a deflected equaliser on 71 minutes.

Ali Al-Habsi somehow kept Reading in the game before Hal Robson-Kanu got the Royals ahead three minutes from the end, but Wells got his ninth of the season to force the tie into a replay.

Reading were missing the in-form Nick Blackman following his move to Derby, but even then manager Brian McDermott kept top scorer Orlando Sa on the bench. In chilly conditions, they were slower off the mark, and had to fend off three Huddersfield chances before mustering a response...

It was a scrappy end to the first half - Jonathan Hogg and Garath McCleary booked for either side after separate late tackles - while despite the rain, the second half promised more endeavor for Town.

And that soon brought the opening goal, Davidson again in the mix with a cross from the left, and Paterson was free to time his jump and head past Al-Habsi.

There was controversy when Wells, played in by Lolley, rounded Al-Habsi in the box and went to ground, but referee Jeremy Simpson booked the forward.

And the home fans were frustrated further as Vydra popped up at the other end to curl a shot in, which took a deflection on its way to goal.

Both goalkeepers then showed their agility, Al-Habsi first tipping over Wells’ header, before Joe Murphy kept out Robson-Kanu’s fierce effort.

The late drama began when Robson-Kanu at last got his reward, as his deflected low shot crept into the net after the ball was pinging around, but in stoppage time Huddersfield got themselves back level.

Bunn won the penalty when trying to jink his way through a crowd, and Wells had no problem firing a low spot-kick away.
