Reading Start New Season With Draw
Reading made their return to the Premier League with a 1-1 draw against Stoke City at the Madejski Stadium. The Royals looked set to drop all the points after Stoke led for much of the fixture. However, the Royals pushed forward in the final ten minutes of the game and added to the pressure after the visitors were reduced to ten men inside the final few minutes. The Royals earned a penalty which saw Le Fondre blast home to equalise. We might have snatched it at the end when Harte put a free-kick just over the Stoke crossbar.
