New Signings Hope To Face Sheffield Wednesday
The Royals looked in trouble on Tuesday before Huddersfield Town were reduced to 10 men and the game turned around allowing Matej Vydra to claim his first Reading hattrick. Vydra had his best game in a Reading shirt, and hopefully it will give the hard working player a big confidence boost to get him scoring goals. Vydra is guaranteed a start and could find himself partnered up front by Kermorgant. Meanwhile Garath McCleary is doubtful for the fixture due to a hamstring problem. Jordan Obita is making his return from injury and could be included on the bench.
Visitors Sheffield Wednesday are in magnificent form and are currently on a run of four straight wins in all competitions. In the League their run of 5 wins from 6 games has seen them climb to 6th place in the table. However, away from home they haven't been so impressive and their recent 1-0 win at Fulham remains their only away win from their last 7 attempts. Reading will be looking to make home advantage count. Wednesday, holding the last play-off spot, are 11 points ahead of the Royals. With the season now well in it's second half Reading need a dramatic run of wins to give cause for excitement or we could just be playing out a mid-table season.

Hopefully Hopper won't sign in time for Saturday and I think Forestieri picked up a knock which would give us a bit of luck that we've missed against the Owls in recent years. Wednesday are a good side although weren't great against Leeds, it will all depend on which Reading turn up. I'm feeling bizzarly optimistic about this one, but then I also was against Wolves and MK Dons and we all know how that turned out. We do play better against better teams so hopefully that should see us in good stead and 3 points. 2-1 Vydra, Kermorgant for us. Wallace for them. Attendance: 16,104

Pretty comprehensive defeat finally putting paid to any thoughts of promotion for the season. We can then look towards a longer term plan with 6 players who belong to someone else and a 96 year old forward.

We can then look towards a longer term plan with 6 players who belong to someone else and a 96 year old forward. Ooof, bad night? I feel this will be a confusing draw against a side we're not sure if we should be beating or not, leading to no resolution as to the vexing question of how our season will end. How many goals will depend on how interested Wednesday are, which, given I have seen precisely zero minutes of them this year, I cant offer any real opinion on. 1-1 Vydra, obviously

It's interesting that they think this is a game they should be winning, true they're on fire at home but they're not so hot away from home. Last 5 at home in the league: W4 D1 L0 Last 5 away in the league: W1 D2 L2
