Manchester United Away In Third Round

Reading have been drawn to play Premier League Manchester United in the third round of the FA Cup. The draw will see Royals boss Jaap Stam get a quick reunion as he faces his former club for the first time as a club manager. The Stam connection will be sure to attract plenty of attention as he media look for a interesting tie in the first round the top two divisions take part. After several decent cup runs in recent history, an away trip to Manchester United in the third round means Reading have one of the toughest possible start if they are to make progress this season.

The game is scheduled for the weekend of 7 January 2017, but could be played either side of the weekend if selected for live TV coverage.

Oxford or wycombe away if not then a localish lower league away trip will be nice.
